Long Life Puja for H.E. Khensur Rinpoche Jampa Yeshe, 23 Nov 2010

(The following is a short account of the Puja his visit to the Monastery last year (i.e. 2010) written by our Resident Teacher Lama Phuntsho.)

On November 23rd 2010, We had a greatest opportunity to have a short visit to Gaden Shartse Monastery, Mudgod, South India.

Group of more than 60 persons from all over the world, such as Malaysia, Singapore, Austria, Pune, India. Our purpose for visiting the Monastery was to offer a Long Life Offering Puja for the Spiritual Advisor to our centre, and our Guru His Eminence Khensur Rinpoche Jampa Yeshe.

The grand puja - praying and wishing our Guru to have good Health and long life- was led by the current Abbot of Gaden Shartse Mosatery, Khen Rinpoche Jangchup Choeden, and he was also joined by other Khensur Rinpoches (i.e. former abbot), Reincarnate Rinpoches. A total number of more than 1200 monks took part in the grand puja.

It was such a moving and auspicious occasion. During the Long Life Puja, I was thinking of all our Dharma friends who were not able to attend the long life ceremony in monastery, I took the chance to wish Rinpoche for his good health and long life on behalf of all who were not able to be present.
After the puja and just before I left monastery to return to Malaysia, I took the opportunity to pay respect to our Guru. Rinpoche then instructed to send the following message to all the friends, families and members of Sakyamuni Dharma Centre.

''Please say Tashi Delek to all the members of Sakyamuni Dharma Centre. Please also ask all of them to continue the practice and meditation on Chenrezig (“GuanYin”), and do recite the mantra of “OM MA NI PEDME HUNG” as many as you can.

It is very important to do the practice of Chenrezig.

Most importantly always generate good heart and try to refrain from harming others''.

With the advice I return to Malaysia with great rejoice. I hope all of you would take Rinpcohe's advice to heart and maintain your practice. Thank you.

The following are some of my photo from the trip and I hope you will like them.
