The Passing of our Beloved Guru Khensur Jampa Yeshe Rinpoche

Khensur Jampa Yeshe Rinpoche
(1928-2011)
"Death is certain, But time of death is uncertain."

Today is a very sad day for us at the centre. We received the news that the Spiritual Advisor to our centre and our beloved Guru Khensur Jampa Yeshe Rinpoche passed away in India in the morning (ie. 29 July 2011).

Although Rinpoche has always taught us that life is impermanent, it still come as a great shock to us all. This is especially so because we were all preparing for Rinpoche's impending visit to Singapore and Malaysia.

It is still early days, we are waiting for news and instructions from India on what the arrangement would be. For it is almost certain many of us would make the journey to the monastery in Mundgod India, to pay our last respect to our Guru. We will keep all of you posted on the development.

In the meantime, Geshe Konchok Tashi (who is currently visiting SDC) has advised that Guru Puja be performed at the centre for three days, namely Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Puja would commenced at 8pm everyday.

We would like to asked everyone to join us in the puja in honouring such a great and kind Bodhisattva, and we shall pray for the swift return of Rinpoche to continue to guide us and all sentient beings on the path towards enlightenment.

Thank you.

Farewell Rinpoche, we pray that you return swiftly to guide us................
